The Santa Ynez Valley High School AG Department is Hosting a community “meet and greet” for students, parents, faculty and supporters of all things AG for our students.
Thanks to our many community supporters and the Santa Ynez Valley Western Heritage Foundation, we invite you all to learn about the various programs in the AG department which serve almost 400 students in SYV HS.
A variety of wonderful community sponsors (such as Jeff Mang Horseshoeing, Santa Barbara County Cattlewomen’s Association, Coastal Hay and AG, Farm and Ranch Equipment and Services, Coastal Vineyard Care Associates, Santa Barbara County Cattlemen’s Association, Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau, Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center, Nielsen Building Material, The SYV Elks Lodge, Bennett AG Services and more) will also be on hand and have lent a hand in enhancing the AG Department offerings to SYV HS students.
Come see the refreshed outdoor spaces now “re-opening” thanks to community support, a much needed additional teacher (Ms. Bray) and good ‘ol student sweat! Check out the refurbished greenhouse, planter beds, hog barn, planned vineyard and much more — all of which bring excellent classroom learning (thanks to Ms Clement and Ms. Brown) into hands-on practice for AG department students at our very own facility.
The fun starts at 3:30 pm; BBQ presented by The Santa Ynez Elks Lodge at 5pm. Delicious sandwiches available for donations of $10 and free to SYVFFA members - bring your member card to get your special ticket.
We hope to see you there! Feel free to share with friends and neighbors or print a flyer or two to share to spread the word. Download the flyer here.
